Crafting Clarity: The art of architectural drawings

Welcome to the Drawings section of Veronica Arthur's portfolio. Here, we delve into the intricate world of architectural documentation, showcasing how precision, neatness, and clear communication form the bedrock of successful design. Explore a collection of plans, sections, and isometric drawings, that not only illustrate design but also provide comprehensive instructions for construction, ensuring a seamless journey from concept to reality.

Isometric Drawings

Axonometric projections like the isometric drawings you see above, help provide a 3d visualization of a space in 2d making it easier to explore or test a space as if it is in really life. This can be done through creating a drawing with context to situate it in a real life setting like on the left, or exploding the drawing to help expose the inner elements of the space and how they come together to form the building like on the right.

Sectional Drawings

These sectional drawers expose the inner structure of the building. Creating sections for my buildings allowed me to explore various building codes such as floor heights, floor thicknesses, stair heights and so on. They are crucial in testing the efficiency of a building.

Plan Drawings

Plan drawings have helped me plan and organize beginning ideas and concepts. It helps visualize layout and the purpose of each space. It is definitely a crucial planning step, when first designing a building.
